AMERICAN HEALTH CARE ACT   ~ T. Rump – Trump By Trump  – 3/2017

The new name, American Health Care Act, sounds good, but with Trump and Republicans it is just one more American Con Act.

It is not cheaper for those who can buy insurance, it is not better and it will cover 24 million less people that Obama Care.

The CBO says the new Republican bill would reduce the federal deficit by $337 billion ( a drop in the bucket compared to Trump $500 billion plus desired by Trump for military spending ) over a decade, but would cost 24 million Americans to lose their health care.

52 million would be uninsured under the American Health Care Act. Half of that would be uninsured under Obama Care over the next 10 years.

The Republican plan cuts Medicaid expansion.

Many individuals would forgo insurance in response to higher premiums and the repeal of the individual mandate.

The Republican bill would reduce the number of employers offering health insurance as it repeals the employer mandate to provide insurance.

Premiums for older people could be five times larger than for younger people although credits would only double for the same older people.

Premiums for single people buying insurance would be up to 20 percent higher than they would be under Obamacare. Not an incentive for them to buy insurance.

I have said this before. Medicare for all is the best answer to the needs of all Americans, to control the costs of health care and to cover everyone.
