Calamity =  “an event that causes great harm and suffering.”

Throwing the book =  “to punish (someone) as severely as possible” — at Trump.

Misogyny = “dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women: she felt she was struggling against thinly disguised misogyny.” – A reference to Trump’s on-camera boasting about sexual assault.

Alternative facts = “A fact is a piece of information presented as having objective reality.”

Feminism = “the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities.”

Claqueur = “If you’re part of a group that’s paid to applaud, you’re a ‘claqueur’. – A reference to Trump’s crowd at CIA talk.

Nepotism = “the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs.” A reference that Ivanka Trump was joining the administration,

Air Quotes = “a pair of quotation marks gestured by a speaker’s fingers in the air, to indicate that what is being said is ironic or mocking, or is not a turn of phrase the speaker would typically employ.” A reference to White House press secretary Sean Spicer used his fingers to argue that Trump didn’t mean “wiretap” literally when Trump accused Obama of wiretapping him.

Complicit = involved with others in an illegal activity or wrongdoing: all of these people are complicit in some criminal conspiracy

Neophyte = “a person who is new to a subject, skill, or belief: four-day cooking classes are offered to neophytes and experts.• a new convert to a religion.• a novice in a religious order, or a newly ordained priest. – Rep. Devin Nunes used the word to describe the U.S. president.”

Rescind = “revoke, cancel, or repeal (a law, order, or agreement): the government eventually rescinded the directive.”  A reference to rescind Trump’s decision to rescind protections for transgender students.

Honer = “one that hones”. Funny definition of a Trump word misuse.

Leightweight: “We have no. idea.” – A Trump misspell.

Ombre = not the same as “hombre.”

Recuse = challenge (a judge, prosecutor, or juror) as unqualified to perform legal duties because of a possible conflict of interest or lack of impartiality: a motion to recuse the prosecutor.• (recuse oneself(of a judge) excuse oneself from a case because of a possible conflict of interest or lack of impartiality: the Justice Department demanded that he recuse himself from the case.

Immunity =  “protection or exemption from something, especially an obligation or penalty: the rebels were given immunity from prosecution.• Law officially granted exemption from legal proceedingsA reference to Trump administration people seeking immunity from prosecution.
