Last week, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes met at the White House with someone who gave him the information that President Trump “may have” been incidentally monitored by U.S. intelligence during the transition.
Nunes’ release of the info provided by someone in the White House is somewhat irregular considering he Chairs the House Intelligence Committee and is investigating the White House possible collusion with Russia.
Previously he indicated he met only on White House grounds for a secure place to view the info provided by the source. He has a room in the Capitol for viewing such information.
Nunes has now backed down from his assertion that Donald Trump and his aides were “monitored”. What to believe what is said by Trump, aides and Republicans is hard to comprehend these days.
Nunes would have had to have been signed into the White House facility. Who signed Nunes in?
Why did Nunes deliberately mislead Republicans and the public that Trump was under surveillance (not the same as Trump claiming Obama wire tapped Him)? Why won’t Nunes say who provided him the intelligence reports he referenced?
Nunes may be unfit to lead the critical investigation into ties between President Trump’s Administration and Moscow.
Likely Trump wanted the info released as He soon announcement thereafter, that He felt “somewhat” vindicated of His claim Obama wire tapped Him.
