I have to tell you that I liked Ronald Reagan. As a moderate Republican he got my vote the first time as he promised to reduce paperwork at the bank. Well, by the time our lawmakers wrote legislation to reduce the paper work, it added 1 or 2 pages to every form we used at the bank.
Every Republican running for office wants to inherit President’s Reagan’s conservative coat, but none have his appeal of gentleness.
