There Is A Danger In The Air

The Framers of the United States Constitution never envisioned anything but Presidents like Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln and others but there was a shared world view to not trust anyone who holds power.

They did see a free press as a means to check the presidents and members of Congress. Now we have President Trump who believes he “won” and no one can challenge Him and everyone should believe what he says.

Not so quick says the press, the Courts, congress and the law. There are challenges to Trump by protesters, challenges to the legitimacy of His election and Russian interference, and challenges to His policies and Executive Orders.

Perhaps Trump should have won in Russia where the President would be expected to believe the press is the “enemy of the people”, where the President can make attacks on judges and others, where the President is not expected to provide proof of anything, where alternative facts are the rule, where the President decides what is legal, and where all the President’s remarks are unfiltered.

Thank you Founding Fathers, the Courts, Democrats, some Republicans and the press for keeping President Trump more stable.
